Description

1957 was the last year Harley Davidson produced a motorcycle with a rigid frame. The 1957 FL went down the road suspended by HDs "Hydra-Glide" front suspension and a plunger style operator seat. This bike sports the standard compression 74ci (1208cc) numbers matching Panhead engine. Fuel is prepared via a 1.5" Linkert M74B Carb. Bore and stroke measure in at 3.44" X 4.00" respectively. Harley claimed the bike produced 60hp and was capable of 105mph. Power was transferred from the engine to the dry clutch, and shifting was accomplished via a hand clutch, and foot shift. The rider has 4 gears in the transmission to select from. This bike has a recently rebuilt transmission as well as recent top end engine work done. The bike has all the original tins, with an older repaint, and original Big Bertha Bags. It is scattered with period correct accessories, and still retains the original dealer sticker on the oil tank. The previous owner has completed several AMCA national road runs, with the most recent being the Yellowstone chapter ride 2021. This is your opportunity to own a true, honest survivor bike, that is ready to jump on and ride.
