Mammoth TTS-E
- German engineer Friedl Munch created a remarkable motorcycle in the Mammoth
- Performance was off the charts for the late 1960s, easily capable of cruising all day at 110 mph with sub 11 second quart mile times
- The rear chain case acts as the left side swing arm and permits the chain to be completely enclosed and run in an oil bath
- It was only produced in limited numbers starting in 1966 and was sold at a price that could have bought three Norton Commandos
- It is powered by a modified NSU Prinz car 1200cc engine with mechanical fuel injection
- The alloy rear wheel is casted with an integrated duplex brake drum, this design cured the catastrophic spoke failures that became problematic during early testing efforts
