This bike was featured in the documentary movie The Bonneville Project and was prepared by Motorcycle Performance in Madison, Wisconsin
Success was not immediate (first attempt 2012) but in August of 2018 Team Terpstra completed two runs with rider Shane Brings for an average speed of 111.410 mph a record
The motor was built to the rules and had to be externally stock appearing but inside anything went including oversized valves, ported heads, Megacycle cams, and 11:1 compression Hepolite pistons
Sadly, the owner, Lew Terpstra, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident during a ride with his beloved Slimey Cruds motorcycle club
