- In 1905, FN produced the first 362cc shaft drive in line inlet over exhaust four cylinder motorcycle
- The FN Four was an immediate success and was sold in more than 40 countries including the United States
- By 1926 the FN M50 750cc production came to an end having inspired the Indian, Henderson, and Cleveland Fours
- Percy Pierce (PierceArrow) purchased a 1908 model, and it became the point of reference for the first Pierce Four produced in the United States in 1909
