Münch
Mammut 2000
- Friedel Munch was a German bike builder extraordinaire responsible for designing and producing various versions of the "Munch Mammut" beginning in 1966
- In 1997 Friedel partnered with Thomas Petsch to build a new two litre, four cylinder turbo machine with 260 hp at 5,650 rpm, torque of 380 Nm at 3,500 RPM and a top speed of more than 250 km/h
- 250 units were built, but only 15 were built at the plant in Nuremberg, Germany, because costs exceeded the retail price of 86,000 Euros
- This Munch Mammut 2000 (#22) is a completely new continuation bike made after the factory closed down using new remaining parts with the exception of the odometer (which shows about 1500 miles)
- It is believed that this "special edition" finished in matte black is the very last one that will ever be produced
