Friedel Munch was a German bike builder extraordinaire responsible for designing and producing various versions of the "Munch Mammut" beginning in 1966
In 1997 Friedel partnered with Thomas Petsch to build a new two litre, four cylinder turbo machine with 260 hp at 5,650 rpm, torque of 380 Nm at 3,500 RPM and a top speed of more than 250 km/h
250 units were built, but only 15 were built at the plant in Nuremberg, Germany, because costs exceeded the retail price of 86,000 Euros
This Munch Mammut 2000 (#22) is a completely new continuation bike made after the factory closed down using new remaining parts with the exception of the odometer (which shows about 1500 miles)
It is believed that this "special edition" finished in matte black is the very last one that will ever be produced
