- CZ was founded in Czechoslovakia in 1919 as a weapons manufacturer and started building motorcycles in 1932. After WWII, it was forced to merge with archrival, Jawa (communist commissars), manufacturing cycles for the street, trials, enduro, and road racing
- East German Paul Friedrichs won three consecutive 500cc World Motocross Championships (196668) on a CZ360 and all totaled various riders won seven before CZ withdrew from competition in 1983
- Its durable 360 engine featured 10:1 compression, made 34 hp, had a dry clutch, and weighed in dry at 235 lbs
- A CZ, with its critical components such as the high pipe, steel tank, steel front fender, fiberglass rear fender, air box, and the Jikov carb, is a rare find
