• In 1983 and 84, Harley Davidson commemorated this success by building the XR1000, a street legal flat track bike
• Once again from 2009 thru 2012 Harley Davidson praised their roots by producing the XR1200 and XR1200X
• Based loosely off the Sportster chassis and engine, the XR1200 stood proudly apart with a design much of its own
