1967 Honda CL77 Scrambler
  • Honda's 250cc CL72 and the 305cc CL77 big brother sold nearly 90,000 units during the bike boom of the 1960s
  • Most Scramblers featured a 180 degree crankshaft but about 110 CL72s (250cc) were imported with 360 degree cranks (both pistons rising and falling in unison) along with different gear ratios
  • Most of the frames were painted black but some were delivered with bright red frames (very rare) that were quickly painted black by dealers
  • The Honda Scramblers were fun to drive, reliable, good for commuting and good for weekend fun both on and off road
  • The CL72 introduced Honda's first full cradle tubular steel frame
