1948 Whizzer Pacemaker
  • The Whizzer was originally sold as an engine kit for use on bicycles, mostly Schwinns
  • In 1948 Whizzer sold its first pre assembled motorized bicycle, the Pacemaker
  • Breene Taylor Engineering, a Los Angeles based manufacturer of airplane parts, began Whizzer production in 1939 as a way for defense workers to travel to and from work
  • This changed Whizzer from the Finest Bicycle Motor to the Finest Motor Bicycle
  • This bike has the dual spring seat, the Whizzer designed telescoping spring fork, and 24 inch Lobdell wheels
