1927 Moto-Guzzi Sport 13 (500cc)
  • Moto Guzzi has been a leading brand in Italy since 1921
  • These machines were finished in green with gold pin striping thru 1927, after which the color changed to red
  • The engine delivers 13 hp @ 3,800 rpm, weighs 130 kg, and has a top speed of about 100 km/h
  • The design of the Sport 13 engine goes back to the early twenties and was the only Guzzi offering from 1923 thru 28
  • A unique feature of the engine is the exposed flywheel which allowed the main bearings to be closer together
  • This example is fitted with a DellOrto carburetor, Bosch ignition, and a Lucas acetylene front headlamp
