1912 FN Four
  • The FN Four was first introduced in Belgium in 1905 with production running until 1926
  • The engine was redesigned, and displacement was increased to 498cc in 1910
  • Note the oval acetylene headlamp
  • This design had a shaft drive, magneto ignition, splash lubrication, a leading link front fork, and atmospheric inlet valves
  • The 1912 cylinders had twelve cooling fins rather than the eleven on earlier models and used bolt and flange exhaust rather than the earlier screw on type
  • This example uses a Bosch ZFN4 upright magneto incorporating a distributor for drivability
