• Despite the success of the 1906 thru 1927 FN shaft drive fours, FN began producing more conventional chain driven overhead valve four stroke single cylinder machines in the late 1920s
• This 1947 model M13 has a side valve engine with wet sump lubrication but its most distinctive feature is its front fork
• This trailing link design tensioned the horizontal springs when the wheel was pushed upward when riding forward like pulling a wheelbarrow rather than pushing it
