Top Shelf Built 1955 Bel Air, 427ci, 400hp, Turbo 400 Trans, Impeccable!
This stunning '55 Bel Air has just 33 miles since completion and was built to the highest of standards throughout. An original California car, it underwent a complete frame-off restoration with the body chemically dipped and E-coated for lifetime corrosion protection. The chassis is a work of art, featuring a Heidts Hot Rod Shop suspension, coil-over front end with rack-and-pinion steering, and a John's Industries 1000-horsepower Ford 9-inch rear end with a triangulated four-link setup and coil-over springs. Stopping power comes from Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, with all new stainless brake lines, wiring, and glass installed during the build.
Powering this masterpiece is a fresh Chevrolet 427ci V8 producing over 400 horsepower, paired with a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and 3.73 rear gears. The car exhales through a hand-fabricated 3-inch stainless exhaust system with Borla mufflers, while a Painless wiring harness and Dakota Digital gauges handle the modern touches. It rolls on American Racing 22-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, perfectly blending classic style with modern performance.
The body and paintwork are simply breathtaking—every panel was meticulously straightened and aligned, with a smoothed firewall for a show-quality engine bay. All side chrome and emblems were hand-painted to replicate OEM-style moldings, enhanced by custom flames seamlessly integrated into the design for a one-of-a-kind look. The craftsmanship, detail, and finish are top-shelf from every angle.
Without question, this is one of the finest 1955 Bel Airs we've ever seen—fresh, flawless, and ready to impress on the show field or the boulevard!
