SB6
- Bimota is a small-volume firm established in Italy in 1973 with the purpose of producing beautiful, light, and well handling performance bikes in the Italian tradition.
- Their MO was taking proven engines from major manufactures, warming them up a little, and placing them into an entirely new chassis with fresh bodywork
- Its most successful of the numerous models produced was the SB6 based around a Suzuki GSX-R1100 engine which claimed 156 hp at 10,000 rpm in its original form
- It was built in two variants - the SB6 of which 1144 units were produced between 1994-96 and the SB6R of which 600 were produced in 1997-98
- The SB6 saw the Suzuki powerplant land in a smaller and very different-looking package that weighed in at 190 kg, more like the weight of a 600-cc bike
