2005 MZ 1000S
  • MZ stands for Motorenwerke Zschopau a post war East German motorcycle company that produced single cylinder 2-stroke 250cc commuter bikes
  • After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 the company "westernized" and produced its own 1000cc superbike the MZ1000S
  • The "S" model is a sport bike with clip-ons and rear-set footrests and yet is a comfortable touring machine
  • Its engine is a liquid-cooled 999cc DOHC 8-valve 4-stroke 40-degree inclined parallel twin with a 180-degree crankshaft, electronic fuel injection and wet-sump lubrication
  • It achieved a 12.6 sec E.T. and had a top speed of 149 mph
  • This extremely rare example has 2000 miles*
