Info coming soon!
Every now and again, a car comes along that makes you stop in your tracks. This is one of those. It started life as a 1966 Jaguar E-Type 2+2, but thanks to the craftsmen at Design Velke in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, it's been transformed into something truly remarkable—a one-off, Concours-winning creation inspired by the legendary D-Type racers.
Power comes from a 4.7-litre stroker motor mated to a Muncie 4-speed manual, and with about 3,200 pounds of hand-formed steel and aluminium to move, the experience is nothing short of exhilarating. It feels alive—raw, mechanical, and wonderfully direct.
The details are where it really shines. There's the driver's hump that hints at Jaguar's Le Mans history, the shorter boot lid, the purposeful bonnet venting, and the sweeping D-Type style dash that wraps around you. Best of all, the car has been reimagined as a true single-cockpit machine. The passenger side has been faired over with a beautifully flush aluminium panel, just as the great endurance racers of the '60s once wore. It looks like it belongs on the Mulsanne straight.
This isn't a kit car or a quick styling job—it's coachbuilding of the highest order. Every panel has been touched, shaped, or remade by hand, with an artist's eye for proportion and detail. It's elegant, it's aggressive, and it's unmistakably bespoke.
We'll be sharing a full write-up from David Welky of Design Velke soon, but in the meantime, if you've been searching for something rare, beautiful, and utterly unique—a car that blends Jaguar's most romantic era with a hot-blooded, modern edge—this might just be the one.
